The Study Senior Secondary School organized a Cross Country
and Road Safety Run at Fatehsagar Lake on Saturday, July 8 to raise awareness
about road safety and healthy living. It was a beautiful sunny morning with
perfect conditions for the run. The Mayor of Udaipur, Chandra Singh Kothari,
inaugurated the run.
300 students from 6th to 12th grade
participated in this morning run with smiling faces. For some, it was a great and relaxing time
spent with friends in the beautiful surrounds, while the others showed their
running skills and quickly finished the track.
The run finished at Neemach Mata Pal where the runners could
chill out for a while before taking the oath to lead a healthy life and to
follow the road safety rules. The first one to speak at the event was Mr Netra
Pal Singh, Traffic Incharge of Udaipur. The Mayor, Chandra Singh Kothari, spoke
to the students, as well Mr Lakshyaraj Singh ji of Mewar, who gave away the
prices to the winners of the run. Also present at the event was Ms Sheetal
Agarwal, Deputy Director (IT) Collectorate. Mr Devendra Singh Rathore honoured
the guests with a memento. The Vote of Thanks was given by the Principal, Mr D.
K. Gupta.
It was a great morning and definitely an event to remember.
